The presence of Ramon Quisumbing, WBPP Chair, one of the country's foremost birders, and owner of Capayas Creek Kingfisher Preserve (CCKP), led me to a quickie and unplanned birding sortie this morning. And CCKP's star birds did not disappoint.

Blue-eared Kingfisher, swallowing a still wiggling fish

Ruddy Kingfisher

Rufous-backed Kingfisher
Aside from the Three Kings, there were bonus birds as well.

Blue Paradise Flycatcher, male, a Palawan endemic

Philippine Pied Fantail, a Philippine endemic

Rufous-tailed Tailorbird, a Palawan resident (not found anywhere else in the Philippines but present in neighboring Borneo)
We called it a day by 9:20am since both Ramon and I had other things that we needed to attend to.

Obligatory selfie before we called it a day
