Last April 5-7, My Blue Backpack, our tour agency, played host to Tourism and Hospitality Management students and faculty from the Bulacan State University, Sarmiento Campus. Leading the group is Devine MC Travel & Tours of Ferdie Contreras, our longtime partner in Ed-Tours. The destination for April 6 was Coron Island tour but instead of the usual itinerary, we decided to start with the giant web of Calamianes Expeditions at the Hidden Lagoon behind Kalachuchi Beach.

We left Lualhati Park a little before 9am and reached the site within 15 minutes. To say that everyone was exited is probably an understatement. Sharing some images I was able to create.

After a through briefing by the staff, it was time to put on the safety harnesses and helmets and get on the web.

For safety reasons, only groups of seven can go up at a time. And only when a group has left the web and is already on the way to the hammock, will another group go up. Since we were a group of more than forty, it took us almost three hours to finish. But the students were so well behaved as they patiently waited their turn and took selfies at the floating dock. The last group to go up was me and two teachers.

Suited up and ready to go...

After the web, we went down to Kalachuchi beach for swimming, kayaking, beach activities, and a sumptuous lunch with an awesome view

For anyone looking to have a different tour itinerary, the Geo-X web tour is definitely worth considering. The standard package includes a kayak tour through the mangrove passages and ending at Kalachuchi beach. Due to our large group, we only availed of the web experience.

note: the web experience is now a regular stop of our Coron Island Special Tour.
